Halftone 2 App Reviews

Great layouts, nice text balloons etc. Easy to understand. Results are good looking. Multiple resolutions allowed. Too many clicks: click the frame, click the options wheel, choose the pic, click the pic, click the options wheel, move the pic... the wheel is gimmicky. Would be better with a more modern interface like :click empty frame to automatically go to photo gallery. Click and hold or force touch a pic on the page to select it and go in edit mode, the drag it around or scale it, trash icon to delete and "ok" button to go back to page edit... Would be better if graphic items selector appeared as a bottom bar, not a full screen selector. Would be better if I could select multiple pics on photos to get a quick auto placing on the page. Great app features, lot of time lost in clicking. 3/5 would comix again but wont click again

Need Cyrillic fonts!!!

It seemed like you cant change the curve of the word balloon tails to curve in the opposite direction. You have to scroll down in the Style menu to get to that option. It took me a while to figure out (thanks, person in charge of the Facebook page!). Theres really no indication of being able to scroll down in that menu. I hope they add that in future versions. Otherwise, awesome app! Meets my needs wonderfully!

I bought this a while ago and everytime I go to use it, I cant seem to find the dot gain anymore. I restored purchases, but I still cant find it. I have images that show that Ive used it, but still not finding it. This was why I bought this app.

Very very good app. 5 stars because it allow us to build real comics. And the result is impressive. Better than I expected. Could it be possible to have a frame builder like in the Layout app ? And more stickers too may be ?

Is it possible that there is no halftone filter in Halftone 2 any more? Beside this litte missing feature a nice application for pimping up fotos.

Its a nice follow up to the original, once you pay for all of the added features, and I really like the radial menu! There do seem to be very frequent crashes though. Ive experienced them scrolling through paper styles and trying to export images. Once those are corrected itll definitely be a 4 star app!

This is a great app for playing around with pictures... When its not crashing. Which is does pretty regularly.

PRO: First off this is a very cool idea. This app is well designed, pretty intuitive with a fair amount of choices that provides a great comic book style result. Its a really really good app, but alas this is a review and it does have some big issues... NO BACKUPS! You cannot backup your comic project with iTunes! This is a major issue that is needs to be addressed ASAP! Most all productivity apps allow you to save your app data to re use later so I dont know why this is missing. Quite an over site considering the storage bug below guarantees you will lose all your hard work eventually. STORAGE BUG: Saves multiple versions/copies of photo and media repeatedly (instead of just the changes) using up your ipad storage with redundant copies. Makes your ipad totally unusable after a while and youll have to delete and lose all your work. My 12 page 700 MB comic ballooned to over 6 Gigs just making minor adjustments. BUG2: A problem I also had was rendering full resolution with the half tone applied as this always crashed the app. No half tone = no problems. Overall this app is great as far as ideas go, the layout and graphic quality is top notch. The execution of a few very important but required features is however less than desirable. When these issues are addressed ( i hope very soon) it will become a 5 star amazing app! ( all experience based on iPad 4 retina)

Deleted this after a couple of days playing with it. Did not find it as exciting as I thot based on other reviews.

This app leads you to believe it will turn your photos into halftone comic-like images. This isnt the case.

This app could be very enjoyable, the user interface is good, the idea is fun, but has problems with crashing. Was able to mess around with pre-loaded photo and enjoyed it but trying to transfer a photo out of my i phones gallery causes app to crash. Essentially rendering a paid app useless for me. I sincerely hope they fix this in the near future as this app would have received 5 stars from me.

....the app has really annoying bugs, crashes after importing photos and deleted some of the cels I created. Ive used it for 1/2 hour and probably wont use again till a few updates come out.

I loved the original halftone...but it makes me sad to know I cant use this app on my IPod Touch 4tg generation.

So I paid for the app, and it started downloading, then I got a message saying that it doesnt work on iPods. So now I paid for something I dont even have. It didnt take the money off my iTunes card, it looks like I have the same balance, but when I try to buy something it says I dont have enough. Im extremely disappointed.

This app is brilliant. Its a lot of fun, and easy to use, and completely worth the in app purchases to get the extra stuff. However it it quite frustrating when it crashes, which happens regularly. Update - this app has become even more stable, and they have vastly improved on the speed and load times. Not a single crash since the update. Thank you.
